Upon entry to the right there’s an alcove to shed outdoor wear. Continuing left you enter the guest wash-room with shower, toilet and ample storage, washing and utilities area.

TWO VARIANTS OF RAMMED-EARTH WALL-WORK

Next door to this is the guest bedroom which has a queen-size bed, wardrobe and twin bedside tables.

On the left of entry we have the master wash-room with double sinks and an adjacent storage area divided into two sections. The master bedroom with two wardrobes, a king-size and bed-side tables is opposite the wash-room. The dining, breakfast, lounge, kitchen and TV area is conveniently appointed and gives direct access through sliding glass doors to the garden, patio and swimming area.

Here we have the master bedroom, ‘his ’n her’ wardrobes and bedside tables.

We have carefully thought out how the air-flow system also affects sound travel and have there-by separated all the rooms with walls, doors and corridors reducing noise transmission. The tiled floor sits atop a reinforced concrete base set in compacted subsand. Tiles are a minimum of 60 x 60cm, but 60 x 90cm are also available.

Above and across the whole dividing wall there is a decorative metal lattice forming an elegant and robust structural feature that is also part of the natural air convection channelling moderating the ambient temperature.

The two visibly open sides reveal the back drop of the garden patio and lush greenery.

Magnificent rammed-earth partition walls reveal an aperture giving access to a private wash-room.

Rammed-earth walls come in many mineralic forms and shapes. The colour contrasts vary and the banding flows adjusted to taste. Due to its specialised nature rammedearth walling is relatively costly but the aesthetics and quality it provides are regarded as transformative.

The outer wall extends all the way to the external boundary without compromising that natural feel whilst adding to both privacy and security.

Entry to the the living-dining area is adjacent to the guest room. The garden, patio and pool is accessed through glass sliding doors in the living-dining room.
