Rammed-Earth Life

The essence of rammed-earth is nature itself. No chemical binders, no toxic substances, no metals, only natural earth, crushed rock and stone. The presence of these walls changes the feel, ambience and even the sound of a room, that's why we like it. If you want to venture beyond our mid-neutral standard sand texture walls take a look at the YouTube video below and the chart above and see what takes your fancy...

Composition

We only use natural binders and organic dyes in our walls. The manufacturing process is more art than industry and is thus labour intensive. You may think why bother when bricks and plasterboard is the norm - you won't know that special feel rammed-earth brings until you experience its presence. Having built hundreds' of walls over quarter of a century we think the extra effort is more than worth it.

Ambient Lighting

The rammed-earth dividing walls are a special feature of  Pearl Bliss homes. Exotic architectural features like these are usually reserved for luxury homes of far higher market value, and for good reason, Fortunately our 25+ years history of building rammed-earth walls has led to certain advances in technique unique to Pearl Bliss. These advancements have made it possible to incorporate this feature into our homes at no extra cost. To reveal the stature of this special fragment of nature that sits in every room we use a technique called 'mint-lighting'. A gantry of carefully selected lights adjacent to each wall sit in a discrete  base board and radiate a soft sulphonal upward hue to set off the magnificence of each edifice.
