Surviving the Shift: Storms of Change
every once in a Millennia

As we transition through this epoch, traditional socio-economic structures are undergoing profound adjustments. The paradigms that once defined job security and economic norms are being reimagined. The rise of automation and mechanisation is profoundly impacting labour markets, causing a re-evaluation of what constitutes work in our society. This mobilisation of technology introduces both challenges and opportunities, warranting a deep reflection on how we navigate these changes.
China's stated approach as a step-change to a fundamental approach to solving social problems has proved to be surprisingly successful. They advocate socialism for the social system and capitalism in the world of commerce. China will never be a model for the world as their social credit system at its worst is as dystopic as the existing social chaos of the West. Nevertheless, all models should be examined and refined - including the aforementioned E.F. Schumacher's, 'Small is Beautiful' model that advocates the exchange of goods and technology between 'global technological villages'. There are many other models and all of them will be impacted when the technology that's been held back finally falls into the hands of 'the people'.
To illustrate another foundational flaw in our current paradigm futurist philosopher Robert Bower eschews the notion of entropy. This puts him in line with mature philosophies that have persisted for many millennia. If correct, this means that energy is inexhaustibly available as Nikolai Tesla purported exposing the worlds energy problems as an unnecessary technological oppression. If humanity is to survive what's coming, we first need to stop decimating the planet with human created war, famine and dysfunction and unleash the 1000's of technologies, patents and innovations that the corporations have been throttling back.
Technological advancements are at the forefront of this shift, influencing every aspect of our lives. Innovations in medicine and healthcare are important mediums that demonstrate how technology is reshaping our existence. New whole body diagnostics, breakthroughs in energy medicine, epigenetics and stem cell treatment promise enhanced accessibility, efficacy and may become universally affordable in the emerging paradigm. As these changes occur, (and they're occurring now) it is critical to monitor and shape the ethical implications and create suitable regulatory frameworks to adapt to the speed and gravity of the changes. Euthanasia and eugenics in a survivalist-Darwinian mode is not the solution to problems created by flaws in the system, many of which were engineered into it by the less than enlightened. As we embrace the new era, we must evaluate how technology can serve as our ally rather than act as a catastrophic adversary. Fictional eschatology, (end-times ideas) must not be the excuse for creating more suffering and 'thinning out the herd.'
Visionaries like Dr. Hamer (German New Medicine) should be embraced. For the sin of having extremely high success with terminal cancer patients using holistic medicine he was arrested and incarcerated 3 times. Julian Assange, and other mavericks need to be celebrated not punished.
The shift has begun quite some time ago, and in some ways 'as the old world' was busy catching up, was able to see and retain valuable instruments and learning from the past. India has already integrated Ayurveda and Homeopathy as a complementary medicine to allopathy. The Chinese have never abandoned traditional medicine. Royal Rife's frequency technology that some claim can heal almost any disease is relatively popular in it's niche world. These shifts combined with the eventual elimination of toxins deliberately put in our food, water, air and environment will lead to longevity and good health.
The 'Brave New World' is not as Huxley, an advocate of the technological state (control) saw it. It puts the sacredness of human life and wellness at its centre and before profit, indeed profit may finally be subjected to the Hippocratic edict, "Do No Harm". Can you even imagine such a world?
For now we must seek shelter from the storms of change. We have no option but to engage with the transformations shaping our realities. The paradigm shift we are experiencing is not merely a transitional phase but a reconfiguration of life as we know it. By harnessing the power of free-thinking and emergent technology and acknowledging the shifting socio-economic landscape, we can carve out a pathway that embraces spectacular change while securing a more stable future for ourselves and future generations, but it must be built on compassion, humanity and ingenuity, not nihilism, exploitation and deceit.
Karma v Human Will
Go South my 'Son'
You could say that were it not for the Crusades and similar events, Karma may not even be a thing. Other's may retort that karma, or fate, was around a lot earlier than the advance of empires, and they'd be right. The thing is that karma goes beyond fate and posits the idea of consequences of actions in and beyond one life. Furthermore, it follows the spiritual 'player' through other life cycles until the necessary lesson(s) have been learnt and the karmic debt repaid .
The idea presupposes reincarnation, which in my opinion is as yet unproven. What is not in doubt in the realm of medical science is that such things like near death experiences and knowledge of past events sometimes 100's of years old have been recorded, verified and in some cases led to the revision of history.
There is a small but increasing cadre of thinkers, philosophers and spiritually inclined sophisticates that take a more scientific approach to matters esoteric, religious and philosophical. These do not accept per se the notion of a 'linear' cycle of re-incarnation and indeed many other things that they cannot personally verify.
For my part, I am inclined but not religiously, to believe that there is such a thing as group karma which is a corrective force for dark and nihilistic forces that prevail through the ages. Something is trying to pull us up from our Neanderthal bootstraps but 'it's' having a very hard time. That thing, some posit is a wiser 'us' from the future, other's resort to the 'god-thing', me I'm a bit more heretical and see it as the essence of intelligence itself. A phenomenon that is very limited for most of our species. To be clear I do not see the ability to process vast amounts of information, like a computer, as a sign of intelligence. Intelligence is connected to 'original thought', creativity, empathy and emotional comprehension (oft called emotional intelligence). Doubtless there are other elements to true intelligence but I'm only an amateur speculator so lets keep it simple.
We find ourselves amidst a significant transformation, often referred to as a paradigm shift, that echoes the insights of thought leaders such as Alvin Toffler, who thoroughly addressed the subject matter in his seminal work, 'The Third Wave'.
Understanding the Paradigm Shift
The Predictable Unpredictability of Socio-economics
We must re-conceive reality with an understanding of how to re-balance between analogue and digital, the oriental and the occident, male-female, right and left brain, personal and societal need - we need the big picture sans a diminutive but powerful parasitic group that claims de facto, the 'divine right of kings'. These people may have gotten humanity into this dystopian quagmire, and as Bower suggests, now possess the technology to prolong life and robotise industry, farming, medicine, education and pretty much everything through technology and AI rendering the traditional workforce obsolete.

The essence of this phenomenon lies in accepting that the only constant in the universe is change. As big shifts occur we grapple with the evolving psycho-socio-economics and technological advancements. Within the conflagration we must find avenues for stability— shelter from the storm.

This true intelligence might be an instrument of the karmic matrix because it reveals to us that repeating certain behavioural patterns, holding on to certain ideas and the feeding of certain desires for short term gratification may, in the long run, be inordinately harmful. To 'see' the spectrum of connections we have to be able to resolve the bigger picture, the complex web that reveals how things are connect, reconnect and interconnect creating whole sets of reactions, responses: consequences.
Some key elements that blind us to connections and consequences are: conscious or unconscious filtering of information ('know thyself'), the lack of processing power, (low intellect), the inability to connect actions with reactions and seemingly unrelated events. Without such perspicacity it is difficult to form a comprehensible mental map of the world we inhabit. Once all the relevant information is placed onto a competent mental canvas it should be possible to better navigate situations as they unfold.

It is a marvel in many ways that the colonial world view is disappearing with a fierce alacrity. Africa and the 'South', of the hemisphere including West Asia, the Tundra and the Tropics are much more able and willing to make the inevitable shift.
The Silk Road if ever it materialises and all the signs are that it will, signals such vast changes in travel. commerce, education wealth, life...it is almost inconceivable. Even more inconceivable is that upon a time the concept and reality of travelling and trading across the globe was commonplace. The ideas of difference and uniqueness in culture, the lure of novelty, mystery and even danger was no barrier to the adventurer, the curious and the entrepreneur. The global North has had its innings and sure enough with a bit of co-operation and flexibility will continue its merry existence in some form. Call it karma (did I really say that), what the South now has to offer is far more than the 'Desert-Garden' myth that lured homesteaders into hostile wilderness on the other side the globe on other peoples lands. No, 'the technological break-down' (Chris Rea 1981), has all but fractalised (Period-3) into the glorious AI unreality that Wall-Street and Silicon Valley believe is their 'ace in the hole' when we down here in zero-contract-hour, and dog-eat-dog land see it emaciating our planet at a rate of knots.
The future is not where this current old paradigm-chaos thrives, it's in the new New World, same as the old New World, but just a little bit better, brighter and hopefully wiser this time around. That's where the opportunities are in this strangest of times. Not convinced? Well I guess you could gamble on the second coming or move a few more deck chairs around on the Titanic. Me I think I've seen quite enough of the Klown-show for this life-time: where you choose to lay your bets is of course up-to-you, my only prayer is that going forward, you choose wisely.
